Paper Cranes for Japan

One week ago today, a devastating tsunami and multiple earthquakes rocked the island nation of Japan.

However, thanks to an incredible outpouring of support, things are beginning to look up. In particular,  friends over at DoSomething.org started a “Paper Cranes for Japan” campaign that has caught the eye of two incredible organizations: Architecture for Humanity and Students Rebuild, an initiative of the Bezos Family Foundation. And thanks to their generosity, these two new partners will match your crane contributions with dollars for reconstruction.

Mail your paper cranes to Students Rebuild to trigger $2 for each crane. The goal? 100,000 cranes received will raise $200,000 to support Architecture for Humanity’s reconstruction efforts in Japan.


Get a group of friends together and host a paper-crane party now! They'll even supply a pre-paid mailing label for boxes of cranes. Check out all of the details at StudentsRebuild.org.

And remember, you can always choose to donate to the Red Cross; they’ve got relief stations located across the country that will assist with citizen evacuation and medical needs.
